A Poem for A Quiet Life

A quiet life do not despise,

for, though humble, she is wise,

and it’s in the little things,

that joy learns to spread her wings.

Do not shame the quiet place,

that seems to you an empty space.

For to birds it’s space to fly,

it’s room to laugh and peace to cry.

Do not fear the quiet road,

despite the lonesome, heavy load.

For on the rocky path are friends,

new souls to love on every bend.

And do not hinder quiet fire,

that refines your heart’s desires.

For in a quiet life you’ll find

jewels worth far more than left behind.
